We caught up with Milan based house duo Man.E for our next instalment of roots. When they’re not busy in the studio, the pair are at the helm of Taste Rec., a label spun out of ten years of parties in and around the fashion capital’s underground scene.

“Our roots are definitely planted in the period that goes from the 2nd half of the nineties and the first part of the 2000’s, when we fell in love with the dance-floors around Northern Italy.

Classic House music was (and is) the strongest influence, but a balanced contamination with other sounds and dimensions coming from live music, disco, funk and even electro and underground trance, is what we basically love most. We selected a crescendo of five tracks from that period that definitely represent the reason we are doing dance-floor music.”
